This page highlights some of the activities and equipment that went into preparing for the trip. These preparations started towards the end of March 2023 and were completed around the 4th of April.
I last roughed it in the wild as part of a military exercise more than 45 years ago, so although I learned some useful stuff in the military, I could best be described as very, very rusty. Fortunately, I have two daughters who are something of an expert at coping in the wild, so I have had a huge amount of help and advice from them (and mum too!).
