Actual Route

From the Inside Passage Ferry to the Artic Circle

The journey started at my house on Vancouver Island on April 29th 2023.

From there I will drove 233 miles to Port Hardy at the top of the Island and took a 22 hour ferry ride overnight to Prince Rupert up through the beautiful Inside Passage . I stayed the night in Prince Rupert, heading off to Dease Lake BC the next morning, May 1st, my birthday.

Then I spent nights in Whitehorse YT, Dawson City YT, Eagle Plains YT, Dawson City YT, White Horse YT, Watson Lake YT, Fort Nelson BC and Prince George BC – getting back home on the 10th of May 2023.

See the blog and videos for the 4th of May to learn why I could not make it to Tuktoyatuk NT on the coast of the Artic Ocean and the 6th of May for why I had to divert from the original route route down BC 37 and take the Alaska Highway (BC 97) instead.

The image above shows the route I took as tracked via my satellite SOS device . Note that Google Chrome version above .111 will not correctly display these tracks – use another browser if that happens.
